First Edition Book Group is for anyone who enjoys reading a wide variety of fiction, from well-known classics to the very latest authors. Examples of novels we have read are: ‘The Book Thief’, Markus Zusak, ‘Empire of the Sun', J.G. Ballard, ‘Small Things Like These’, Claire Keegan and ‘Precipice’, Robert Harris.  Book choices are suggested by members and agreed on after discussion in meetings. A member may wish to present their choice of book and give details relating to the author, but there is no compulsion to do so – the aim is to be flexible to suit the preference of individual members. If you enjoy reading fiction and would like to take part in enthusiastic discussion in a friendly setting, you will be made very welcome, so please come along to any of our meetings.
