Tuesday 6th, 9 a.m. departure, Llangollen Offa's Dyke Walk (Weather permitting)

I have a truly spectacular walk planned for October. The first half follows Offa's Dyke path and we return along the top of the Eglwyseg limestone Escarpment. It is a walk that requires a decent level of general fitness and stamina. Meet at 8.50 for a 9am departure to Llangollen. It is a 70-minute drive each way - hence the earlier than usual start. We should be back around 4pm.

We need at least 2 cars for car sharing. If you are willing to drive please let me know how many you can take. The return journey is 82 miles, which is £20.50 per car divided among the occupants. We will park on the Panorama Road above Llangollen - walk along the most spectacular section of the Offa's Dyke Path and return along the edge of Eglwyseg Escarpment. Bring plenty of food and fluids. You need stout footwear, waterproofs and warm clothes. The walk is 7 miles. It has no stiles but requires a decent basic level of fitness, sureness under foot and a head for heights. You can call me on 07773 972601, if you need advice. If you are new to the walks please send me a name and contact number for someone to call in case of emergency. Do please let me know if you intend to come on this walk.
