It is an opportunity to share and explore our thoughts and feelings about a wide range of things, for example:

• a book that we have loved and/or has moved us
• a special object (an ornament, a picture or something completely different)
• a piece of music
• memories from childhood – games we played, school life, friendships
• humour – what amuses us
• holiday experiences

There is no limit to what we might do. Variety is the key. We will make connections and share through an eclectic range of activities. From time to time, we may plan a local outing e.g. to the cinema, theatre or local place of interest. Occasionally we might share our thoughts on big themes such as global insecurity, societal change and even the meaning of life.

The pace will be slow, reflective and convivial. Listening is as important as speaking. The atmosphere will be sympathetic and empathic and never combative. Joy and laughter will feature as we share our stories, experiences and our common humanity.
